Program Description

The Master's Program in Architecture is designed to prepare graduates for all professional activities in the field of architecture at both national and international levels. The program aims to expose students to diverse design approaches developed based on knowledge and skills spanning a wide range of architectural specializations, from the scale of the environment to the details and materials of architectural products.

Gaining proficiency in architectural design is the core of the program, and workshops focus on issues that address the architecture profession and the environment as a whole. The program aims to help students develop awareness of their roles within the architecture profession and respond to issues in architecture with an ethical stance.

In our program, courses are planned according to the career goals of students. They are provided with the skills that can be converted into job opportunities. With the courses in the program, theoretical information is provided and students are supported in their close work with their academic advisors. Our graduates can work in all stages of architectural projects carried out in private design offices and public institutions.

Program Structure

The master's program with thesis in architecture consists of a total of 21 credits, 7 courses, a seminar course, and a thesis. The seminar course and thesis are not credited and are graded as pass or fail. The duration of the thesis-based master's program is a minimum of four and a maximum of six semesters. The scientific preparation program is not taken into account in the calculation of the duration. Semesters in which the student is not enrolled are included in the maximum duration.

 

Architecture Special Application Requires

Graduates with a bachelor's degree in Architecture, Interior Architecture, Interior Architecture and Environmental Design, Landscape Architecture, Urban and Regional Planning, Industrial Product Design, Cartography/Geodesy Engineering, Civil Engineering, and Naval Engineering may apply to our program.

Required documents for enrollment in thesis-based master's programs:

Notarized copy of bachelor's degree or graduation certificate obtained from e-Government

Original or notarized copy of bachelor's transcript (documents obtained from e-Government are accepted)

ALES exam result (including the Result Verification Code, covering the last 5 years as of the registration date, with a score of 55 or above in the relevant score type.)

Original and copy of the ID card

For male applicants: a recent Military Service Status Certificate (documents obtained from e-Government are accepted.)
