Program Description

The increase in business volume and the globalization of competition require effective advertising, promotion, design, and public relations activities to accompany digital design. The branding process and the need to establish a corporate identity require the use, design, implementation, and production of technologies related to visual, auditory, and moving images and text in interactive media environments, supported by digital design tools, beyond simply having a presence on social media. To address this need, the Master's Program in Visual Communication Design with Thesis offers theoretical and practical studies focused on visual arts, communication, design, and technology. The aim of the Master's Degree Program in Visual Communication Design with Thesis is to specialize in the effective use of all interdisciplinary components of visual communication design, and to examine, research, design, and implement digital and interactive environments, social media, internet publishing, computer game platforms, and experimental and analytical approaches.

The visual communication design specialization program aims to examine, research, and develop creativity, originality, and personality from scientific-artistic, aesthetic, social-cultural, economic, conceptual, and mathematical perspectives, as well as entrepreneurship, ethics, and human-centered solutions. It aims to train experts who design and manage communication systems that enable the development and change of digital and interactive environment design. These experts and professional managers can work in all kinds of national and international fields, public or private organizations, sectors, businesses, and non-governmental organizations. They are competent in design and art, creative, original, experimental, and capable of taking responsibility, making decisions, taking risks, being creative, entrepreneurial, and designing experiences in areas that require management.

Our graduates work in computer game design and animation companies, advertising, web design, corporate identity design companies, press and public relations companies, visual design units of public institutions, design departments of local administrations, book, magazine, and publishing companies, media and printing companies, and the cinema and TV sector. They can become art directors, visual arts managers, advertising and product photographers, illustrators, digital and graphic designers, printing and publishing designers, corporate communication and brand managers, communication specialists and managers, corporate identity designers, character designers, video and short film directors, digital communication specialists and managers, and academics.
