Program Description
This interdisciplinary program builds upon the undergraduate studies of the Department of Physical Education and Sports Sciences, aiming to develop scientific thinking, enhance knowledge and skills in understanding concepts and applications of sports education science, synthesize field-specific knowledge to develop methodologies, and achieve expertise in various technical areas. It covers the fields of Movement and Exercise Sciences, Physical Education and Sports Teaching, Psycho-social Areas in Sports, Physical Activity for People with Disabilities, Sports Management and Recreation, and Sports and Health.
Our program aims to produce graduates who are scientifically well-informed, equipped with theoretical and practical knowledge, up-to-date with current technology, aware of contemporary social and individual values, and capable of contributing to science at the national and international levels.
Our program is open to applicants who have completed a four-year bachelor's degree in Physical Education and Sports Sciences, as well as applicants from other fields who have completed a four-year bachelor's degree and agree to take the “Scientific Preparation Courses” at our Graduate School of Education. Our graduates play an effective role in all kinds of organizations within sports sciences and work as experts in sports centers. They are trained to become leaders in their field in line with the education provided.
Program Structure
The thesis-based master's program in Physical Education and Sports Sciences consists of a total of 21 credits, 7 courses, a seminar course, and a thesis study. The seminar course and thesis are not credited and are graded as either successful or unsuccessful. The duration of the thesis-based master's program is a minimum of four and a maximum of six semesters. The scientific preparation program is not taken into account in the calculation of the duration. Semesters in which the student is not enrolled are included in the maximum duration.
Physical Education and Sports Sciences Special Application Requires
Those who have a 4-year bachelor's degree in Physical Education and Sports Sciences and other 4-year bachelor's degree holders from fields other than Physical Education and Sports Sciences who agree to take “Scientific Preparation Courses” may apply.

Original or notarized copy of bachelor's transcript (documents obtained from e-Government are accepted)
ALES exam result (including the Result Verification Code, covering the last 5 years as of the registration date, with a score of 55 or above in the relevant score type.)
Original and copy of the ID card
For male applicants: a recent Military Service Status Certificate (documents obtained from e-Government are accepted.)
