Program Description
The aim of the Master's Program in Mechanical Engineering is to train professional research engineers who can design a mechanical or thermal system within a specific systematic framework, model an engineering problem in these fields and solve it using relevant mathematical tools, conduct interdisciplinary research and propose original technological solutions, create new products by applying theories related to technological design, and who possess contemporary technological knowledge, scientific research methods, and ethical knowledge.
In addition to basic mechanical engineering courses, the Master's Program in Mechanical Engineering offers elective courses in new material technologies, biomechanics, defense technologies, and advanced manufacturing. Research groups will be established to conduct experimental studies in these areas and to carry out research in priority areas for our country.
Program Structure
The thesis-based Master's program in Mechanical Engineering consists of a total of 21 credits, including 7 courses, a seminar course, and a thesis. The seminar course and thesis work are not credited and are graded as either successful or unsuccessful. The duration of the thesis-based master's program is a minimum of four and a maximum of six semesters. The scientific preparation program is not taken into account in the calculation of the duration. Semesters in which the student is not enrolled are included in the maximum duration.
