Program Description
The primary objective of the Master's Program in Civil Engineering (English) with Thesis is to educate students in various fields of civil engineering and to train them to become highly knowledgeable and skilled expert engineers and researchers who can solve current problems related to civil engineering. With the rapid advancement of technology, numerous technical challenges have emerged that require resolution. As a result, there is a growing need for well-trained specialists capable of addressing both current and future challenges.
Our program offers many courses related to structural engineering, geotechnical engineering, water engineering, coastal and port engineering, transportation engineering, construction materials, and construction management, as well as interdisciplinary courses.
The field of work for graduates of the master's program in civil engineering is quite broad; they can work as designers or site engineers in the fields of structural engineering, geotechnical engineering, water engineering, coastal and port engineering, transportation engineering, construction materials engineering, and construction management. Program graduates can work in public and private institutions and organizations or start their own businesses.
Program Structure
The Master's Program in Civil Engineering (English) with Thesis consists of a total of 21 credits, 7 courses, a seminar course, and a thesis. The seminar course and thesis are not credited and are graded as pass or fail. The duration of the thesis-based master's program is a minimum of four and a maximum of six semesters. The duration does not include the scientific preparation program. Semesters in which the student is not enrolled are included in the maximum duration.
Civil Engineering (English) Special Application Requires
Graduates from all fields of study of Engineering Faculties offering a 4-year bachelor's degree can apply to the program.

Notarized copy of bachelor's degree or graduation certificate obtained from e-Government
Original or notarized copy of bachelor's transcript (documents obtained from e-Government are accepted)
ALES exam result (including the Result Verification Code, covering the last 5 years as of the registration date, with a score of 55 or above in the relevant score type.)
Original and copy of the ID card
For male applicants: a recent Military Service Status Certificate (documents obtained from e-Government are accepted.)
