Program Description

Our Business Administration Turkish/Thesis Master's Program is designed for students who have graduated from different undergraduate programs and/or are working in different sectors, individuals who aim to pursue academic studies and a doctorate, and professionals. Our program supports the ability to conduct independent and original scientific research with its content that is updated with current developments. Program graduates gain the theoretical and practical foundation necessary to work in managerial positions in both private and public institutions and organizations.

Professional business management competencies required by the ever-changing business environment, along with globalization and technological developments, are constantly changing and being updated. Understanding the technological, socio-economic, and political processes and transformation dynamics that businesses are undergoing and capturing innovations are undoubtedly crucial for ensuring the effective output of business functions and businesses as a whole. Therefore, our program aims to meet the diverse career needs of students who will work as managers and entrepreneurs in the private sector, public institutions, and NGOs through a curriculum and content that focuses on theory and practice related to evolving management competencies.

Graduates from all undergraduate programs are eligible to apply to our program. Our program produces graduates who generate innovative and creative ideas, are knowledgeable about management systems and practices used in businesses, and plan activities for their professional development by working on professional activities and projects in their field. Our graduates work as specialists in areas such as marketing, finance, and accounting in businesses, or as management consultants. Some of our graduates also continue their academic careers.

Program Structure

The Business Administration Turkish/Thesis Master's Program consists of a total of 21 credits, 7 courses, a seminar course, and a thesis. The seminar course and thesis are not credited and are graded as either successful or unsuccessful. The duration of the thesis-based master's program is a minimum of four and a maximum of six semesters. The scientific preparation program is not taken into account in the calculation of the duration. Semesters in which the student is not enrolled are included in the maximum duration.

 

Business Management Special Application Requires

As stipulated in Article 5 of the Istanbul Gedik University Graduate Education and Teaching Regulations, applicants must have obtained a bachelor's degree or equivalent from a higher education institution.

Required documents for enrollment in thesis-based master's programs:

Notarized copy of bachelor's degree or graduation certificate obtained from e-Government

Original or notarized copy of bachelor's transcript (documents obtained from e-Government are accepted)

ALES exam result (including the Result Verification Code, covering the last 5 years as of the registration date, with a score of 55 or above in the relevant score type.)

Original and copy of the ID card

For male applicants: a recent Military Service Status Certificate (documents obtained from e-Government are accepted.)
